Best Golf Communities near Seattle

Seattle buyers usually start with Newcastle — and with good reason — but the South Sound has four or five communities that match Newcastle on lifestyle and beat it on value. Here's how I rank the best golf communities within an hour of downtown Seattle.

Newcastle — the iconic Eastside pick

The Golf Club at Newcastle pairs two championship courses with sweeping Seattle skyline and Lake Washington views. Hillside homes here command premium pricing — $1.2M–$4M+ — but the views and proximity to Bellevue justify it for the right buyer.

Twin Lakes (Federal Way) — best lifestyle value

Twin Lakes Golf & Country Club is genuinely one of my favorite recommendations. Mature trees, walkable streets, two lakes, an actual neighborhood feel — at South King County prices. For Seattle commuters who want golf-community life without the Eastside premium, this is the answer.

Chambers Bay & Fircrest — South Sound prestige

If the goal is name recognition and views, Chambers Bay. If the goal is established old-Tacoma quiet luxury, Fircrest. Both deliver lifestyle Newcastle can't quite match — at meaningfully different price points.
